Res Ipsa Loquitur

This suspense thriller addresses a timely topic, identity theft, but explores the complexities of that crime within the context of the workplace.

The protagonist is the perfect scapegoat because she is a loyal, hardworking and ambitious associate in a Manhattan law firm on the long road to partnership. She is targeted by a ruthless partner who employs technology to misappropriate her identity, shield himself and avoid discovery of his own nefarious activities. When she starts to make discoveries that lead her to believe her work has been sabotaged, a political game ensues which undermines her reputation within the firm and places her life in danger.

This writer is new, but has apparently already received significant award recognition. The dialogue is excellent and serves to paint vibrant pictures of the characters. In my opinion, this novel would make an excellent film.
